DrivePro™ 230

Transcend’s DrivePro 230 dash cam has been designed with both style and safety in mind. The DrivePro 230 is equipped with a Sony image sensor that captures high definition videos with extremely fine tonal gradation even in low light. In addition, it is equipped with a GPS/GLONASS receiver, a built-in battery, a practical photo button and a Wi-Fi connection. The Transcend DrivePro 230 is more than just a security device, it’s a travel companion ready to explore more of the world with you.

High-sensitivity Sony image sensor

The DrivePro 230 uses a Sony sensor to capture high-resolution images with excellent, rich colors even in low light. Its built-in Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology balances the bright and dark areas of captured images, ensuring that every critical shot is as clear as possible.

GPS/GLONASS receiver

The DrivePro 230 GPS/GLONASS receiver can record coordinates, date and time to recorded video. Transcend DrivePro 230 the coordinates pinpoint exactly where the incident happened, so emergency services, the police or an insurance agent can respond more quickly.

Practical image function

You to take photos while still recording video, the snapshot button allows.  During an accident, you can remove the DrivePro 230 from the vehicle and create a photographic record of the collision damage.

Built-in battery

The built-in Li-Polymer battery provides continuous power supply to the device. The video will continue to be recorded and saved in the event of an accident or when the engine is turned off.

Emergency record

In the event of a collision, the DrivePro 230 motion G-sensor detects the impact and starts the emergency recording mode. This will prevent the file currently being uploaded from being overwritten. This feature can also be activated manually by pressing the red button on the side of the unit.

WIFI connection

The DrivePro 230 features Wi-Fi connectivity that works with the exclusive DrivePro app for real-time playback and download of footage. This means easy access to video evidence for reporting incidents to law enforcement and insurance companies without having to pull out a memory card.

24/7 guardian

In addition to road safety, the DrivePro 230 stands guard when the vehicle is parked in a public parking lot.

When the vehicle is parked, you can enable the parking mode or time-lapse video recording function.

The first activates recording when motion is detected; the latter lets you get right to the heart of the matter without having to watch hours of incident-free footage.

Note: These two functions require external power after the car engine is turned off.

Lane departure warning system

Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) helps prevent accidents by issuing a warning when the vehicle drifts out of its lane.

The system monitors the lane markings and displays an on-screen warning while sounding a warning sound whenever the vehicle’s speed exceeds a preset value or when the vehicle deviates from its route.

Forward collision warning system

The Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS) warns the driver when the vehicle’s speed exceeds a preset value, causing the vehicle to come too close to the vehicle in front.

In both cases, the system warns the driver with a warning sound and a notification on the screen.

Headlight reminder

When DrivePro detects poor lighting conditions, such as at dusk or in dark places such as tunnels and basements, the headlight reminder is automatically activated.

Driver fatigue warning

To prevent tired drivers from getting into an accident, the driver fatigue alert regularly reminds the driver to rest after driving for a pre-set time determined by the driver.

Exclusive DrivePro Toolbox software

In addition to playback, Transcend DrivePro Toolbox offers a sorting function to quickly find video clips by file name, recording date or group. DrivePro Toolbox also provides a screenshot function to capture a single image.

For DrivePro models with a GPS/GLONASS receiver, the Toolbox can display driving routes on maps along with recorded video.

A microSD card is included

The DrivePro 230 comes with a Transcend memory card built from high-quality NAND flash and tested in harsh environmental conditions.
