Retro-futurism design
With a design inspired by the 20th century space race, the Asus ROG Flow Z13 gives some nods to retro-futurism. The chassis is clad in spaceship-inspired, precision-carved high-density aluminum alloy. After testing 39 different processes, including 10 CNC precision cutting and two coats of anodizing, 6063 alloy has a unique surface that creates the golden age of space. Premium anti-fingerprint coating reduces the appearance of fingerprints and makes surface cleaning easier.

A portal to power
A CNC circular window on the rear of the chassis that allows a direct view of the machine’s main board, as well as more freedom and height for components than conventional designs. This thick recess provides excellent RGB accent lighting, while allowing the chip components to be placed on both sides of the motherboard due to the large amount of space. Larger than standard components paired with a dual-sided motherboard allows for more performance than standard 13″ machines.

Despite having a Core™ i9 CPU and RTX™ 3050 Ti GPU, Asus ROG Flow Z13’s ultra-compact form factor allows for cooler space than a typical gaming laptop. The tablet form factor requires no hinge, allowing for larger fans and a wider vapor chamber than the Z13’s size suggests. Because the Z13’s heat-generating components are on the desk when running, they draw in much cleaner air than conventional laptops. Combined with 0db technology, this means the Z13 is completely silent during light computing and incredibly quiet under full load.
